Perhaps this is just an elaborate ploy to get Joe laid by pr0n stars or famous people.

Thanks for distributing this. I didn't want to start a war or get anyone in trouble, but I think some legitimate concerns are being raised, and it's an issue that involves how *all* LARPers are going to be represented to a mostly ignorant public. In short, I have no interest in us becoming the next "furries".

Whenever LARPs end up as the focus of an episode of CSI, I think we've arrived as the next "furries."

Personaly I don't agree with how they are marketed, but I think that the problem isn't as much Joe, as it is the people in LA that he's working with.

This is not an official statement - just my personal 2 cents... and if you know who I am you know that I have to set out that disclaimer.

The Trashy Models are like saying the Victoria Secret Models, and while in LA it's pretty cool (Lingere made by Trashy is highly sought after as its custom made to be sexy AND comfortable) its not part of mainstream LARP culture.

A lot of fuss seems to be made because in my opinion NERO went too younger crowd friendly. (I love kids, but I don't want to see a 7 year old playing) The game addresses mature themes, and if the marketing was a fair representative of that then the fact that there are going to be Lingere models at the event might not be as big a deal... the fact is however that NERO has minors playing, as Pages, but playing... I am on hiatus due to Motherhood from playing, and intend to NOT have my daughter cross the grounds of a NERO chapter until she's at least 16.

It looks like nothing more than a gigantic glitzy hollywood event. I'm sure it's really nice for Joe V to be able to spend gobs of money out one side of his mouth (you'll never convince me that he contracted all of those celebrities for free) while crying about needing donations for his legal defense out the other side of his mouth, but the LARP subculture is not really much for the hollywood bullshit and I personally don't appreciate being represented that way.
